AI assistant

Ask about your inventory, costs, findings and changes in plain words, and get answers you can check.

The assistant answers questions about a workspace's assets, costs, findings, changes and syncs, and about AssetHermit itself: connecting clouds, the permissions they need, the query language.

The inventory's search bar has an Ask mode. A question such as Linux VMs in eu-west-1 without a backup tagbecomes a query, checked and put in the bar with a one-line explanation. You run it or edit it.

The assistant panel

The panel opens beside any page of a workspace and keeps your conversations. Questions it answers well:

  • How many public S3 buckets do we have, by account?
  • Which RDS instances are still on PostgreSQL 13?
  • What drove last month's increase?
  • Which critical findings are in production accounts, and how do I fix them?
  • What changed in the last week?
  • Why is the Azure tenant in error?
  • How do I connect a GCP organization?

Numbers come from AssetHermit, not from the model: each answer shows what it read as a table or summary, with a link that opens the same view in the inventory, costs or findings. A few pages offer a question ready to ask, such as Explain this asset or Help me fix this on a source in error.

Your data

  • It's off until an admin of your organization turns it on.
  • It reads with the access of the person asking, so it sees only what they may see.
  • It's read-only: it changes nothing in AssetHermit or in your clouds.
  • It runs on Amazon Bedrock within your workspace's geography: the EU for a workspace in an EU region, the US for one in a US region. Its conversations are stored in your workspace's region.
  • Each conversation is private to its person and kept 30 days.

Credits

The assistant is included in the Starter, Team and Enterprise plans. Its answers draw credits from your organization's pool, which Sync now draws from too. An answer draws credits by how much work it took: a question in the search bar costs a few, and a long conversation costs more than a short one, so a new question is cheaper in a new conversation.

PlanCredits included a month
Starter2,000
Team10,000
Enterprise50,000
  • A free trial has 1,000 trial credits in place of Starter's included credits.
  • Included credits don't carry over to the next month.
  • More come in packs of 5,000 credits, which we add to your next invoice, and last 12 months.
  • One person can draw up to 1,000 credits a day on the assistant.
  • Answers on your own cloud's model, connected in the workspace's settings, draw no credits. They have a daily limit per person instead.
  • When the credits run out, the assistant waits until there are more. Scheduled syncs and everything else go on.
