Terms of Service
The agreement between AssetHermit and the organizations that use it.
Effective
The agreement
These terms are an agreement between Webscale Oy (business ID 2562359-7, "we") and the organization that registers for AssetHermit ("you"). The person who registers accepts them on the organization's behalf, and confirms they may. AssetHermit is for businesses only.
Our Privacy Policy, our Data Processing Addendum and our list of subprocessors are part of the agreement. A signed contract, such as an Enterprise agreement, takes precedence where it differs.
We may transfer the agreement to a company that takes over AssetHermit, and we'll tell your organization's owner when we do.
The service
AssetHermit keeps an inventory of your cloud assets, with their change history, findings and cost reports. It reads your clouds and never changes anything in them. Features may change over time, but what your plan includes doesn't shrink during a period you've paid for.
Accounts
- Your organization's owner and admins manage who has access, and you're responsible for what your organization's people do in AssetHermit.
- Keep sign-in details safe. When people sign in with Google or Microsoft, their security, including two-step verification, rests on that account, which is yours to set up.
- The owner always keeps a password with two-step verification, so a provider outage never locks you out.
- The owner can transfer the organization to another person, who becomes the owner once they accept these terms. When the owner can't, such as after leaving your company, we transfer it at a request we've verified, after emailing the owner and waiting a few days for them to object.
Access to your clouds
- Connect only clouds you're authorized to connect.
- You grant access through our templates and commands, and you can revoke it at any time.
- Reading your clouds makes API calls that your cloud provider may bill you for, such as Google Cloud's Cloud Asset Inventory quota, BigQuery bytes billed and Azure Storage egress. Those costs are yours. AssetHermit shows them where it can.
Your data
- Your data stays yours. We process it only to provide AssetHermit, as the Data Processing Addendum says.
- We may use operational measurements that hold none of your data, such as how long a sync took and how much memory it used, to run and improve the service.
- We don't train AI models on your data.
The AI assistant
The AI assistant is optional and off until an admin turns it on. Its answers can be wrong: check them before acting on them. Its answers draw your organization's credits, except answers on your own cloud's model.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- reverse engineer AssetHermit, or try to reach data that isn't your organization's;
- overload it, or test its security without our written consent;
- resell it, or use it to break the law.
Trial, plans and payment
- A new organization starts with a 14 days free trial, without a card.
- Before the trial ends, we agree a plan and its price with your organization's owner. We invoice it monthly from the end of the trial, in euros or US dollars, and each invoice is due 14 days after we send it. Prices exclude tax, which is added where it applies.
- Your organization keeps the version of its plan it agreed to. A price change reaches you only with 30 days' notice.
- A change to your plan, to a workspace's accounts, syncs or history, or to your credits takes effect on the day we agree, and the next invoice follows it.
Cancellation and refunds
The owner can cancel at any time by writing to sales@assethermit.com. The plan ends at the end of the month it was invoiced for, and there are no refunds for the rest of a month, except where the law requires one.
Non-payment, suspension and deletion
- If a trial ends without an agreed plan, or the plan is cancelled, or an invoice stays unpaid after its due date and a reminder, we may suspend your organization. Paying resumes it.
- A suspended organization is deleted 30 days after it was suspended if it never paid, or 30 days if it did, after emails to its owner.
- We may also suspend an organization that breaches these terms or threatens the service's security, and we'll tell the owner why.
Availability and support
We work to keep AssetHermit available, but we don't commit to an uptime unless a contract says so. Support is in the app and by email at support@assethermit.com, as fast as your plan's support level says. Features marked beta come as they are.
We may temporarily limit or turn off a feature, such as syncs, the AI assistant or the MCP server, for one organization or for everyone, without notice, when that's needed to protect the service's security, stability or performance, or other customers, or when a provider we rely on requires it. We keep it as narrow and as short as we can, tell your organization's owner and admins why as soon as we can, and charge no credits for what it blocks. We announce planned maintenance ahead where we can.
Third-party services
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Slack, and Google and Microsoft sign-in are governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for their outages.
Confidentiality, intellectual property and feedback
- Each of us keeps the other's confidential information confidential.
- We own AssetHermit. You own your data.
- We may use your feedback and suggestions freely.
Warranties and liability
- AssetHermit is provided as it is, beyond what the law requires.
- Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits.
- Each of our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. The limit doesn't apply to breaches of confidentiality or data protection, or to unpaid fees.
Ending the agreement
You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your organization: write to support@assethermit.com from the owner's address. We may end it with 30 days' notice, or at once for a material breach.
Changes to these terms
Each version of these terms is dated, and earlier versions stay readable below. We email your organization's owner 30 days before a material change takes effect. Using AssetHermit after that means accepting it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without their conflict of laws rules. Disputes are settled in the Helsinki District Court.
